When thinking of setting up your workshop, there is a multitude of things that you may want to keep in mind. Planning workshops is a great way of really getting you to think about the complete picture of what you want to offer your clients. While most of the time, your workshops may simply be a “Level 1” or “Level 2” workshop, targeting the general public, it might also be a great idea to run the occasional specialized workshop, to reach a new target audience.
When you are setting up the logistics of running your workshop, your venue or space is a critical part of the event’s success.
Before you begin expanding your workshops, you will most likely start within your local hometown, where you know many people and can expect attendees such as family and friends. Choosing a location where the majority of the workshop participants reside, lowers travel costs and increases the number of comers.
We have compiled categories of tools and checklists that we find very helpful when it comes to smoothly running a successful workshop. Being a Qigong teacher is a very rewarding position
that also brings along certain responsibilities. You
are teaching more than poses; you are sharing with
your clients a way of living, helping them transform
aspects of their lives, and guiding them through
these ancient reserves of wisdom.
What is important to remember here is that every
opportunity you have to collect an email address
and add it to your mailing list means yet another
potential client. It is estimated that 5% of those
who receive your emails will sooner or later join
your classes – simple tool, great gains!
As a local Qigong teacher, your first target
group is the local community. People who are
geographically closer to you are more likely to
attend your workshops, and a rough estimate of
about 70-80% of workshop attendants are usually
local. Your local community creates and increases
the demand for the services you are offering.
Because you are part of this community, you can
form a dynamic and personalised setting where you
regularly interact with your students, who in turn
tell more and more people about your business,
constantly expanding your circle of clients as you
make new connections.
Social media is a growingly essential part of any
successful marketing plan. Statistics reveal that
the average person spends over 5 hours per day
on his or her smartphone. What does that mean
for your business? It means opportunity. The vast
and endlessly evolving platforms available give you
access to people from all over the world, with all
types of backgrounds and interests.
Once you have established your practice and are seeking ways to expand it, it is a good idea to start thinking about cooperating with other Zhineng Qigong masters. Inviting a Chinese master to host your workshop is a great way to form connections with, and gain knowledge from other experts in this field. It means […]
